WGRV is proud to present our local news on the Internet. Click on "Today's Local News" to read today's news, sports features, and community announcements.

Morning News with News Director Marty Ricker can be heard each morning, Monday through Friday, at 6:05 AM, 7:05 AM, and 8:05 AM. The 8:00 AM newscast includes obituaries. News updates are aired at 9:05 AM, 10:05 AM, and 11:05 AM.

Midday Local News with Maxine Humphreys at 12:30 is heard each day, Monday through Friday. Maxine is working towards her 51st year anchoring the 12:30 Local News, which provides local and state news, obituaries, community events, and personal interest features.  Local news also airs at 12:30 on Saturdays.

Town Crier News with Sarah Gregory is heard each afternoon Monday through Saturday at 5:05 PM (Early Edition), and Monday through Sunday at 6:00 PM. Both Town Crier Newscasts include hard news, obituary information, complete weather forecasts, and community events.

State
As a member of the Tennessee Radio Network, comprised of over 100 member stations contributing news from around the state, WGRV carries TRN newscasts at 12:05 PM and at 6:30 PM.  WGRV also includes stories of special interest from TRN in our local newscasts.

National
WGRV is an affiliate of the CNN and NBC Radio Networks. WGRV carries six minute newscasts at the top of each hour, and airs three minute newscasts at 30 minutes past each hour.  In the event of important breaking news, CNN and NBC provide news updates at 15 and 45 minutes past each hour. In times of significant events, CNN and NBC provide continuous coverage.

Sunday News Schedule
Local newscasts air at 9:00 AM, 12:00 Noon.  Town Crier News airs at 6:00 PM.

Weather
WGRV airs up-to-date local weather forecasts from the National Weather Service, including weather watches and warnings during times of severe weather. Forecasts can be heard at the top of each hour, 24 hours per day, and at the bottom of each hour from 5:00 AM to 11:30 PM, and at other times as conditions warrant. WGRV uses an IN-STUDIO COLOR WEATHER RADAR to track weather systems moving into our area.
